Easter was one busy day for our family this year. Our church helps sponsor and run the city Easter Egg Hunt (the Eggstravaganza). So Dewy and Jackson left the house at 8:00 to go help set up and hide the eggs. Cohen and I joined them around 10:00. Jackson was already having a blast on the jump house. Following the jump house we waited in line for Jackson to get his face painted. The face painting was followed by both the 1-2 year old egg hunt and the 3-4 year old hunt. Cohen collected one egg and had a blast putting it in his basket and then throwing it out! Jackson got 5 eggs, he hasn't figured out the more you get the better. He just wanted to open each egg and get the candy out! After that Jackson insisted on waiting in the LONG line to get a balloon. We waited about 30 mintes, got two people to the balloon man, and the balloon man quit for the day. Jackson was so bored by that time that he didn't even seem to care, so it's all good.
After all that fun we went to church (which meets at a local high school) and set up for Sundays service. We made it home that afternoon around 2:55 and everyone crashed. I woke Jackson up around 3:55 so we could make it to the neighborhood egg hunt which started at 4:00! There he collected about 6 eggs, three of which he shared with a little girl who was late and didn't get any.
It was a busy day, but so much fun!
